lyrics
The ancient spirits of trees
Gather in the ancient grove
To remember their long forgotten past
There's no clear path in wild vegetation
No mortal has passed the sacred ground
Oh mother earth, Oh sun goddess
Blessed be rain, thine precious tears
Blessed thine voice, which woken up long dormant beast
Forgotten in the ocean of time
Oh mother earth, Oh sun goddess
Thy art eternal wisdom
Fierce and untamed, force of nature
Grant us thine pure guiding light
The ancient spirits of trees
Abandoned in the ancient grove
In anxious silence
Whispering amongst the trees
Ignoring screams from roots long forgotten
Anguish caused by human hand
Of settlers under sign of cross
Spirits of the trees
Whispered their final breath.

The pure joy of standing beneath these ancient trees, feeling the sunlight warm my upturned flower-face. The ecstatic freedom of running across the open plains with my tribe, footpads pounding the grass, lungs heaving, tongue lolling. The soaring feeling of my soul rising to trace the edge of jagged peaks against the sky. Whenever the mother calls, I will go to her; to the land I pledge my love, my life, my sword. Dave Aftandilian

If the band's ambition was "just to" reproduce old melodic BM classics like Dissection and early Emperor, I'd say it is a grand success, shit even the cover art reminds me of the "Storm" album... However, I wish this album had a bit more personality to it. These guys are from the U.K., after all. The first half is majestic, the second half a bit less. Still it's a very enjoyable melodic BM album. sachavonkarl74

No excuse, I should’ve already picked this up. When people can’t agree on what you’re playing but they know it’s metal, that means you’ve done it right. Metallurgical Fire

I've been a huge fan of this band since hearing 'Campfires', an album which I've played to death! This one is a little different in a way, and it took me sooooo long to get in to, but once it clicked, holy shit did it click. Sea Fire is an absolute banger that evokes sounds of Filosofem era Burzum and Mystifier to my ears...not a bad mix at all. I love 'Ghostly Shores' so much I bought the CD and the Cassette and now I eagerly await whatever comes next from OCR. Skek-Gra
